A Scuola dallo Stregone The object of this thesis is the ideation and design of a "Visual Book" based on the work of Carlos Castaneda, The teaching of Don Juan; that is, the realization of an editorial product that is graphically and materially expressive of the cultural content of the text. This is Libro Visivo, an editorial publication of which the entire graphic and material system helps to enter into the merits of the subject matter, a product that provides the reader with an implementation of the semi-plice reading. The process that led to the creation of the visual book was divided into three main parts, the first, the part of an analysis of the author and the context, allowed to outline the context of reference and some facets and choices that led Castaneda to create this work. In addition to the author, the analysis also includes a study of the text that allowed to highlight the central themes addressed and a subsequent elaboration in elements of the Visual Book. The analysis phase is followed by a concept phase in which the reflection and elaboration that led to the creation of the artifact is explained. Finally, the third and last part is dedicated to the realization of the project itself as a mirror of the design ideas; how it was done, with what technique, with what materials, and with which materials.
